The roots of Eastbeam date back to 2000, where Eastbeam was started as a project in Tokyo by German-Japanese gaming visionaries, missioned to bring the inovation of the internet closer to the Japanese gaming market. In 2001, Wazap! was born, serving as a platform for exchanging gaming information and enabling social interaction between everybody interested in gaming. Shortly thereafter in 2003, the company Eastbeam Co., Ltd. was founded.
Wazap! (ワザップ!) is a neologism combining the Japanese word “waza” (“technique”, 技) and “up”.

Since then, we have been empowering the Japanese gaming community. Wazap! counts more than 6 million unique users and 200 million page impressions monthly in the web and mobile space.

Wazap!, now being the largest gaming information portal in Japan, features almost all console games ever released in Japan.
